It’s hard to believe that fall is already upon us, and I have to admit that I dread saying goodbye to summer every year. I love the ease of summer, with fewer commitments, more family time, and more time spent outdoors. This summer felt especially crucial for all of us who had experienced what felt like the longest winter in our lifetime, thanks to the pandemic and a whole bunch of excess time trapped indoors.
When summer 2021 was nearing and businesses began to open back up here locally, I decided to take the blog community along on a week-long local outing. In an effort to promote businesses and get people excited about getting out and about again, I teamed up with 19 Central Illinois businesses to offer one lucky member of the community a $1,500 prize package! This fun collaboration was officially dubbed “CU Around 2021” as a nod to our Champaign-Urbana community.
With the success of the summer round of CU Around, the pressure was on to deliver a second round. What better way to bid farewell to summer and welcome fall than kicking off another huge local week featuring awesome things to do this fall?! Our fall round of CU Around 2021 began on September 20th and runs through September 26th. One lucky winner will take home a prize package valued at over $1,200 from 18 local businesses!

You’ll see some familiar businesses that you know and love and will likely be introduced to some amazing businesses that you didn’t know existed right here in our own community.
